Rebecca Johnson

Rebecca Johnson is a board-certified physical therapist who specializes in an integrative treatment approach. She started her professional career as a Certified Athletic Trainer and moved on to obtain her Masters in Physical Therapy from Midwest University in Downers Grove, IL in 1998. During her career, she completed certifications in Manual Physical Therapy (CMPT) through the North American Institute of Manual Physical Therapy in 2010, Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2010, and Functional Manual Therapy (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art in 2016. Currently, Rebecca continues to listen and follow the studies of the Barral Institute into understanding the body's deeper fascial relationship to the viscera, vascular, neurological and manual articular systems.

Rebecca is well-known for her treatment of ‘systems’, not just body parts or joints. Her unique approach, ‘connects the dots’ of your restrictions via a holistic assessment of your musculoskeletal, fascial, visceral, nervous, vascular, emotional and lymphatic systems, as they relate to your limitation of movement or pain. In short, she leaves no stone unturned.

Rebecca provides treatment for patients with recent or chronic neck or back pain, headaches or facial pain, dental work, TMJ dysfunction, scar tissue from abdominal surgeries, emotional stress, running injuries, women’s health, gastro-intestinal dysfunction and a variety athletic injuries. Her level of compassion, dedication and innate curiosity accelerates her patient’s quality of life, enhances their level of athletic performance and provides hope with results.

Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time traveling with her husband and two children, running, cooking, skiing, attending her son’s Lacrosse tournaments, and her daughter’s swim meets and flute performances.
